Well, it has been 10 weeks since I was accepted, and I am 25 days from checking in at WDW. I have read many post online that the wait to arrive at Disney was the worst and longest part. I have to completely disagree; the time since I was accepted has flown by, and while I am so excited to start this new adventure, I am also very sad to leave my family and friends for seven months. These past couple of months have had some of the most eye-opening and stressful days, but I am thankful for the people who have stuck beside me and have given me the encouragement I have needed. By this time, I think I have read every single blog and watched every video trying to prepare for DCP. I have started a slow process of packing my entire room up to be moved home, I attempted to register to a class at Disney with much failure, and the housing preferences should be arriving in my email soon! I have found some wonderful potential roommates and friends that I am so excited to meet, and I ordered this awesome journal from Etsy! (From zolotart.etsy.com)
One of the highlights of the past couple of months has definitely been receiving my postcard in the mail. Nothing says "Hey, you are moving to Disney World" like a card from happiest place on earth!
I am currently in the midst of dead week, trying to prepare for finals. This semester has truly been a blessing, and I am so happy I have changed my major and that I never have to see another engineering problem again. While I am ready to get this semester over with (thanks to macroeconomics), I have greatly enjoyed my new path of study, and I am super excited to see where this road leads me!
So, here is to passing finals and being at Disney in less than 4 weeks!
